The EuroPolicy civic association and EURACTIV Slovakia, in cooperation with the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung Prague office, cordially invite you to an online discussion titled Slovak Foreign Policy after 2023 Parliamentary Elections, which will be held on 12 September 2023 from 10.30 to 12.00 PM CET. Discussion will be held via Zoom in English only.
30 years of Slovak pro-democratic foreign policy and diplomacy may be challenged in the upcoming Parliamentary elections of September 30, 2023 – or so is the concern of the large part of political spectrum, which warns of changing its course post-September. The other group of parties, which currently lead polls, counter - citing a witch-hunt, claiming a sharp rhetoric will not become reality once elected.
But what is expected?
Political parties, that will most probably enter the Slovak National Council, presented their ideas in detail – in their election programs or in various media. EURACTIV Slovakia, analyzing and comparing them, conducted a thorough analysis, which will be presented during the online event with experts, and discuss the key anticipations of the new government in foreign relations.
We invite you to take part in this discussion, evaluating the key strategic issues of the Slovak foreign affairs, awaiting the country post-September parliamentary election, and examining the possible scenarios of its development.
