In the context of growing public debate around the energy transition, energy affordability and security, and the competitiveness of the Slovak economy, the project aims to strengthen fact-based public discussion on decarbonisation in Slovakia. It focuses on explaining the impact of EU and national policies on households, businesses and industry, with particular attention to energy affordability and security, competitiveness and jobs, and financing the transition. It also aims to counter disinformation and translate complex European developments into accessible, Slovakia-relevant information.

From April 2026 to March 2027, the project will produce articles, interviews, fact-checking content, podcasts, data explainers, monthly briefs and social media content, complemented by stakeholder discussions in Bratislava. These activities aim to improve public understanding of decarbonisation, strengthen access to reliable information and support constructive dialogue among policymakers, businesses, experts, civil society and the wider public.

By combining sustained media coverage, expert analysis, fact-checking and stakeholder engagement, the project will support informed debate on Slovakia’s energy transition, strengthen resilience to disinformation, and promote discussion on affordable and secure energy, economic resilience and competitiveness.

The project is implemented by EuroPolicy, o.z. in cooperation with euBrief.sk and SME.sk from April 2026 to March 2027.
