Prompted by revelations from a thorough seven-year investigation into an ammunition depot explosion in Vrbětice, a connection to Russian operatives and the Skripal poisoning case in the UK was uncovered. In response, the Czech and Slovak information spaces encountered orchestrated efforts to sow confusion and erode trust in the official investigation. This collaborative endeavor highlighted the interplay between the Czech and Slovak pro-Kremlin disinformation spheres.

The aim of this analysis is to map the widespread disinformation narratives related to this case in Czechia and Slovakia. With the help of the newly created software for the analysis of social networks from the Slovak company Gerulata Technologies (within the project as a subcontractor), the analysis would also cover social networks. In addition to the description of narratives, the main communication (disinformation) nodes on the Czech and Slovak Internet will also be identified, which serves to spread disinformation around this case
